New version: cFosSpeed v6.5 with major Traffic Shaping update!

cFosSpeed - The Internet Accelerator!

cFosSpeed is a network driver which attaches itself to existing Internet connections. It optimizes data transfer by means of Traffic Shaping. Traffic Shaping is a method for optimizing Internet traffic that allows maximum transfer speed while ensuring minimal ping time.

cFosSpeed supports a wide variety of connection types like DSL, cable, UMTS, ISDN, etc.

 New feature: Packet-Loss Avoidance
Today's high download speeds often result in buffer overflows in the broadband POPs. This leads to packet loss and reduces the transfer speed and increases the ping time (because of TCP retransmits). Now cFosSpeed detects such buffer overflows early and prevents packet loss by continually adjusting the download speed.

Packet-Loss Avoidance also aids the download Traffic Shaping. cFosSpeed's unique RX-Shaping feature can now reduce ping times to until now unprecedented values. Without RX-Shaping fast downloads unmistakably tie up your Internet connection. With cFosSpeed they are now hardly noticeable.

ping time decrease

 Decisive Traffic Shaping improvements
All Traffic Shaping regulation parameters for the sending and receiving direction have been re-adjusted and optimized. This results in even lower ping times while allowing maximum upload and/or download speeds, see graphics below.

cFosSpeed's regulation quality is also important for ping variance / jitter. This improves the MOS value for VoIP connections.

cFosSpeed now allows you to manually setup the delay regulation parameters. Depending on the application the user can configure the desired maximum ping times for upload and download. This means that the user can manually reduce ping times at the expense of upload or download speed.

Extremely low ping times in "low-latency" mode
Hardcore gamers and VoIP users can now benefit from low-latency mode with even lower delays. In this mode cFosSpeed favors ping times even if this results in slightly decreased transfer rate.

Tons of other improvements and bugfixes.
